I worked with Vicki at the college of medicine and truly enjoyed her company. I kept in touch with her after she retired, meeting for lunch occasionally, but in the past year or so hadn’t heard back from her. She always had wonderful stories about you, Jordan, and how talented and inspiring you were to her. I was a single parent for much of the time we worked together, but married just before her retirement. I had told her that my husband and I met at Walmart, while I was shopping and he (a truck driver) was making a delivery. One day I received a phone call from her and she was laughing in amazement that, while she was scanning radio stations, she had heard a song (What’s a Guy Gotta Do to get a Girl in this Town) that described our meeting and telling me that I had to hear it! I hadn’t heard it previously, but we certainly had a good laugh over that.
So many good memories of her! She will definitely be missed.
