A Very Big, Small World

One can argue that thanks to technology and industry working hand in hand over the last century, the world is a far smaller place than it once was. But amazingly, that same technology that has made the world feel as though it’s shrunk has also reminded us just how vast our world really is–and how much we still have yet to learn.

Turns out that with over an estimated 7.2 BILLION people on the planet, we’re still able to find not only species we’ve never before seen, but entire RAIN FORESTS!

It just goes to show you–there’s always more out there than you think.

[J]ust a few years ago scientists used satellite images from Google Earth to discover a lost world in Mozambique that is packed with never-before-seen species. Mount Mabu is home to so many new and unique species that scientists have applied for it to become a protected area – before loggers in the area can have their way. Pygmy chameleons, bronzed bush vipers and shimmering yellow butterflies are just a few of the amazing creatures that have been discovered so far.
