Bachelor Pad

One thing that I could always share with Mom was interesting architecture. Whether it was a classic European castle or cottage, or a clever way to turn a trailer into a modern day Vardo, Mom appreciated the different ways people could view the same space. In recent years, this has included many articles/pictures etc shared to show off the Tiny House movement and the minimalist lifestyle. We probably both appreciated the idea of a less cluttered life (we both are pack rats of sorts) and the inspiringly simplistic solutions to limited space.

This Bachelor Pad from The Tiny Life would be a perfect example of the type of studio space apartment we’d both appreciated.

This is a pretty neat loft style apartment where the owner asked his designer to build him the ultimate “bachelor pad” in a small loft space.  There is a ton of reclaimed lumber and other materials that was integrated into the space for charm.  The loft took advantage of the tall ceilings and you’ll notice on the upper levels they used a lot of glass to not close off anything.  While it isn’t tiny, it is a small apartment for sure.  Here is what came of it.
